We were recently exposed to Psycho-cybernetics, a book written by plastic surgeon Dr. Maxwell Maltz in 1960. This book combines principles from psychology, neuroscience, and cybernetics to help people improve their self-image and achieve their goals. While we are not big fans of a lot self-help books in general, we love sharing and inspire our readers — and found the principles and concepts in Psycho-cybernetics to be interesting and valuable.

The main premise of the book is that your self-image is the foundation of your personality and behavior. If you have a negative self-image, you will have negative thoughts, feelings, and actions. On the other hand, if you have a positive self-image, you will have positive thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Simple.

All your actions, feelings, behaviors — even your abilities- are always consistent with this self image. In short, you will act like the sort of person you conceive yourself to be — page 2
